                          The black reflective disc on the EMS-SMARTMESS-JS-SMART base water meter makes the rotation of the counter visible to optical detection systems. The black side of the disc absorbs light, while the reflective side reflects it back.<\/p>

                          The optical sensor (IR) built into the REDAC wireless adapter can detect the transition between the two areas (black and reflective).<\/p>
